Master of Analytics with Distinction — Massey University 29th of November 2024 It was only last year that I graduated from the University of Waikato with a Bachelor's double majoring in Human Performance Science and Community Health, very different subjects from data analytics. Why did I pivot so hard and not long after my Bachelor’s? Well long story short, I think sports science is a joke of a field in terms of scientific rigour and depth (plethora of very short studies where n<30, fuck off, go conduct a real study) and job prospects in either of my undergraduate majors are both scarce and typically shit. So halfway through my 3 rd year at Waikato (2022), I started studying analytics before I had even finished my undergraduate.
